Vanilla Maple Spice-y Apple Cider

Welcome to Tuesday Boozeday!  A new post every Tuesday in celebration of making it past the dreaded first day of the week.  Whether it’s back to work, back to school or back to the daily grind of life after a (too short) weekend; kick back and relax with today’s cocktail and prepare to own the rest of the week.

Today’s drink:  Vanilla Maple Spice-y Apple Cider

This morning as I drove my kids to school the temperature gauge in my truck read 33 degrees.  I don’t know about other corners of the U.S., but for me, in my Southwest corner [ish] of Oregon, nearly freezing temps mean fall is finally here.  Of course, in my Southwest corner [ish] of Oregon, that also means it could be 85 degrees tomorrow, so I’ll enjoy this weather reprieve while I can.  This season means a lot of things to me, one of the most prominent being the impending consumption of SO MANY pies!  Apple pies, pumpkin pies…pies, pies, pies!  So naturally I’m making an Apple cocktail today!

Ignore my sad, crinkled spiced apple cider packet.  It was the last one and I had to fight the kids for it and bribe them with hot chocolate instead.  I need to stock up!

This drink ended up being so good, I was hiding in the kitchen chugging it, thinking that everyone in the house knew I had liquid gold in my mug.  Looking back, I don’t regret a thing.  If you make one drink from Tuesday Boozeday…MAKE THIS ONE!  Apple pie, optional.

Vanilla Maple Spice-y Apple Cider

A warm apple cider cocktail perfect for fall weather!

Servings 1 drink

  • 1 packet spiced apple cider drink mix
  • 6 oz hot water
  • 1 1/2 oz vanilla vodka
  • 1/4 tsp pure maple syrup


  1. Make apple cider according to package directions.  I always opt for the lower amount of water.

  2. Add vanilla vodka and maple syrup and stir gently

  3. Enjoy your drink.  And please don't burn your mouth!
